Jaguar-Land Rover (JLR) had a profitable year. Sales increased for their products. For Land Rover in Philadelphia, the demand was positive. The responses were as well. However, the best-sellers and most popular Land Rover vehicles remained comparable to those that topped the sales in 2022.
The Best Sellers
in the United States, the top three of the Land Rover – excluding the Range Rover models were:
- Defender: It is no surprise that the Defender makes it to the top 3 annually. It is increasingly becoming a seamless blend of off-road and street driving characteristics. This does not make the purists happy, but it increases its appeal to adventurous everyday drivers.
- Discovery Sport: This luxury crossover can go off-roading easily. To its current arsenal of automatic emergency braking, driver attention monitors, lane keeping assist and parking sensors, 2023 saw the addition of adaptive cruise control to all trim levels.
- Discovery: Debuting in 2017, this large SUV continues to amaze with its affordability. 2023 saw it increase its standard features to include adaptive cruise control, three-zone automatic climate control and heated front seats. The infotainment system with its 11.4-inch touchscreen now boasts wireless charging and Meridian sound.

2023 was a good year for those who bought a Land Rover. Land Rovers continued to sell well globally and in the United States. These luxury but tough vehicles will remain popular in 2024 as the company continues to manufacture quality vehicles that combine the ability to cruise the streets of Philadelphia with off-trail capability.
